Sophia Florence White was born on 26th October at 11.31am and weighed 6lbs 8oz. Mother and baby are all well and doing great.!!!

RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) has appointed a new chairman of its Yorkshire and Humber regional board.
Rob Hindle MRICS, Director and co-founder of Building and Project consultancy firm, White Hindle & Partners Ltd (WHP) has a wealth of experience in all areas of building surveying, including due diligence and portfolio acquisition surveys through to dilapidations and project management. Rob co-founded WHP in 2008 with his business partner, Carl White MRICS
The RICS Yorkshire and Humber board works closely with the regional staff team to support the members and promote the profession.
As the new chairman, Rob will look to provide a strategic steer to RICS activity in the region, which includes providing professional knowledge updates through a Continuous Professional Development programme, support for member groups, promotion of the profession and attracting new members.
Rob, who took up his appointment on 1 August, said: “The main purpose of the chairman and regional board is to develop and ensure successful implementation of a three year rolling activity plan which forms part of the RICS UK World Regional business plan. Obviously, within that we have to help develop and support local RICS groups, making sure that we communicate the RICS strategy and direction.
“As a small business owner I am keen to push and develop relationships with SMEs in the region. We will also be providing suitable training courses and events throughout the year which is a fabulous way of bringing together the property and construction sectors.”
Jennifer Welch, Operations Director for RICS North, said: “Rob was a natural choice for the role as not only does he have a vast array of experience but he is also passionate about the industry and the talent that we must continue to bring into the sector to ensure we are fully prepared for when the economy picks up.”

Carl White and Rob Hindle attended the North West RICS awards last week. Carl handed out the Commercial award to the winners Muse developments. So well done Muse ! Tonight Rob Hindle will be attending the RICS Pro Yorkshire awards in Leeds.

Carl and Rob are pleased to announce that WHP are now ISO 9001 certified ! Clients now have the piece of mind that we have the correct systems in place to meet todays current marketplace. WHP will also complete ISO 14001 and IIP in the next few months.

WHP will be carrying out more surveys at the Bank of America, Canary wharf this week. Due to access, Carl and Rob will be working through the night to complete as the sun rises. Just goes to show how flexible WHP are to meet the clients requirements.

WHP has won a portfolio of 10 properties across the North of England to carry out PPM surveys followed by internal redecoration and finishes projects. Defects identified from our reports will also be implimented.

WHP has been instructed to carry out defect indentification surveys of the 4 levels of parking basements within HSBC, Canary Wharf. Carl and Rob worked through the night to meet the clients requirements and finish the surveys on time.

WHP have been appointed to Project Manage and administer the external refurbishment of the Atrium serviced apartments on behalf of the Landlord Tiger Developments. The refurbishment of the grade II listed property in the heart of Manchester will involve close liaison with the conservation officers and tenants. Works will be complete by the end on September 2009.

WHP have been instructed to carry out defect analysis role at the Royal Mill apartments by Livingcity for the owners ING. WHP surveyed and investigated moisture ingress to the 4th floor apartments of the Fairburn building and reported back our findings. WHP inspected and reported within 36 hours.
